A glovebox sketch

Postby Geoff_Anthony » Sun Apr 04, 2010 11:11 pm

Well, no not of the glovebox in my car, but using what was in there. As a surfer and an artist, all that is in there is a few pencils, a pen and some wax.

This is a heritage listed grain silo at a place called Little Jilliby, about 5 minutes from where I live.

We drive past this daily to feed our pony, and it is such an amazing building that I cannot stop looking at it.

This was done with three coloured pencils, an old rusty ink pen, and a small graphite stick on a piece of free sample watercolour paper that had fallen onto the floor of my car from out of an art magazine. I pulled over, rummaged for the materials listed and in five minutes time had done this.

Great work you can do in 5 minutes. It's very polished for such a quick turnaround.

Like the look of the water. Good fast work.
Perfection is what drives an artist.
The inability to achieve perfection is what creates a work of art.
