stone painting

Postby bergina » Tue Jan 13, 2009 7:02 pm

This is a stone painting I did quite a while back of a timber wolf overlooking a vast valley.
I take absolutely no credit for the image as I copied it from a calendar. However, this was a great artistic exercise for me as I realized the power of using complimentary colors whenever possible in a painting (purple and yellow) and the importance of creating depth. The stone work and wood base were another challenging phase of this project which was never meant for sale but only created as a very special gift for a family member. However, this has always been one of my favorite past works and thought I’d share it.

Al

You know I'm a huge fan of yours! And once again, you have created another astonishing piece.

You have more talent on your little finger than I have in my whole body.

Keep showing these great works of art, I LOVE to see them!

Perfect as always. Bet this one isn't under the bed, or dog laying on it.

Thanks Crystall and Teknowizard for you nice comments.
Kcortese, This one is definitely not under the bed and not even in the house. This was painted many years ago as a very special gift for a family member. I hadn’t seen it for quite some time until a recent Christmas family visit. Ha. I wish I had this one back( not really as it's much appreciated where it is).
Thanks
