Postby Harmonygirl » Thu Sep 25, 2008 7:29 pm

I am new here, but this is a great idea. I am going to start this weekend on the nude drawing.... I am a little strapped for
ain cells at the moment and if I get started I won't want to stop, so i wil hold back and attempt this when I have more time. I am so joining this group...... if you'll have me

it turned out ok

Postby Harmonygirl » Sat Sep 27, 2008 5:25 pm

For my first try, its okay. It took too long, but I will get faster with the body. The head, feet and hands freak me out, i am not good with those at all.... anyway, what do you think for my first try?

Excellent first attempt Harmony. Now grab a darker pencil to add some contrast.

all the best,

Is there going to be more nude classes

Postby Harmonygirl » Tue Sep 30, 2008 8:02 pm

Does anyone know if there are going to be anymore of these postings? Although I have taken the initiative to do some studies on parts of the body.... I need the push of having is put to me as a test.... so if anyone else likes the idea, I would love more of the nude fig drawing topics come out

thanks much
shannon

Hi Shannon,
I am going to try to make this a more regular thing, probably every other week. By the way, your last drawing is much better with the addition of dark shades.

all the best,
Joe

This was so much fun! I wasn't able to experiment at all as I've no art materials around me. So this is my first shot at it with a crappy mechanical pencil and my fat finger as a smudger.

edit : The picture quality wasn't so good. I need to invest in a scanner so I don't have to keep lightening the photos I take of my drawings.
