Topic #7 - Nude Figure Drawing #1

Postby Singular » Sun Jan 27, 2008 11:31 am

Hello all,
I have had a few requests for a figure drawing class or group. So that is what we are going to do. Since I can not get a model for each of you, we are going to go by the image below. Let's try to work on drawing the figure as best we can. Experiment with shading, use of different pencils or digital techniques. Class in now in session.

This Week's Topic Is: Nude Figure Drawing #1

I like your drawing also. Love the lines, they look very fluid.

Joe, this looks like a good theme! Like the nude. Anthony and Karin, nice ones. I gave it a try too this morning. This is how far I got...maybe finish it tomorrow. I don't think I can can do the likeness of the face...but I want to concentrate on the body anyway. Can you help me with some feedback where I'm going wrong? Drawing suppose to help with sculpting/modelling - or so they say...

Nicely done, Erika. I don't actualy see anything that would be wrong. And btw. I like the face on yours more than the face on the original.

Thanks, Karin. I can see it on the photo lol. Her legs are too short and her right arm looks funny. I'll see what I can do with it. He did a great job on the nude, but the enterieur is not to my liking.

Hey JLV,
Glad you made it. Just start posting. Everyone here is pretty friendly. We did add a new buddy feature to this forum, which is
and new. If you click on someone's profile, there is a buddys button that you can click to request their friendship.

all the best,
Joe

There are some great images here so far. I love this painting and the pose and did a quick sketch at lunch time.

This is my first post here so I'm trying to figure out what's what. Right now I'm off to my real time life class!

Hi Islander,
Welcome aboard. That's a great first post. Your sketch is very good proportionally - an excellent foundation. I can't wait to see when you start adding some depth and detail to it.

all the best,
Joe

Hi Natuy, welcome to ASC. I think your sketch is good, the only thing I notice, she has a slightly fuller body. Other than that, looks nice to me.
