Odd mediums?

I have recently come across a couple of local artists that dabble in various mediums other than the conventional Acryllics and Oils...such as Food, etc. This proved to be rather neat, and an interesting work once completed to my initial suprise.

In experimentations, I too have played around with Out of the Box mediums and enjoyed the result... What other things have been tried?

Everything from blood to elephant dung and beyond.

I suppose it really is about availability of mediums etc.
Or in some cases boredom or idle curiosity.

One person's art is another person's trash and vice versa!

This of course is what makes all of us creative.
Perception....

Necessity is the mother of invention or if you prefer
creation.

While my main source of creative expression is Photography, I also paint and draw. I've done a series of artist trading cards with pencil, hot tea, and ashes.

The only odd medium I ever incorporated was in a mixed medium piece....I coated the finished product with glittery clear fingernail polish.

I knew an artist who made a figurative piece out of loaves of
ead, ramen (for hair), etc. It was cool, but it didn't hold up long (nor was it meant to).
