Sorry, I wish I could help, but I do not know the artist either.

Good luck.

The painting looks familiar. Check on wetcanvas.com as there are many wildlife artists that visit there.
Good luck!

Here's a link that might help:
http://identifyartistsignatures.com/mystery-signatures/
its a database devoted to identifying paintings with partial or obscure signatures...

Still life and animal paintings are my favorite subject in arts. Just like to add that animals, both real and fantastic, occupied an important place in medieval art and thought.

In this situation, I would recommend you to get in touch with online art galleries, I am sure that they could be of great help to identify the artist of these animal paintings.

John, I love your 'mystery painting' exercises!
I did find a Maude Fennell who died in 1950. I was able to locate one image of
hers - two hunters standing by a dead Bear. Agree, not much info on this
particular artist. The Tiger and Leopard cubs are adorable.
Will you let us know if you find anything else on her?
I would also like to know if my assessment of Enneking's work was correct.
Thanks, E

I also have the Cub sleeping pretty upon the branch and also the Tiger and the cub, I picked these up from a Charity shop today for 50p (30c) all by Maude Fennell Mine are prints inscribed F214 & F218 at the lower left of each print.

Wow, y'all are good at figuring out art mysteries. I have an art print with no signature and it baffles me, family heirloom. Afraid to take it out of the frame...
