Great E. Nice bleding of the hands and fish. Love the red....gives a nice juxtaposition with the blue. Well done.

Oh crap! This is good. Not making this up Elizabeth. One single focal point that demands attention. Dark brooding colors with undulating forms supporting each other while demanding its own existence surrounding the eye that sees into you. This is not what you have done in the past. This is for the lack of a better way of saying it, is a professional presentation complete with a fully developed concept displaying expert craftsmanship. I have wondered where you have been. I now know.

Very good indeed, E. Very powerful, great contrast, great color, great imagination. Now if I had to be as critical as possible, cause that is what I know you want from me, here's what I would suggest. I know this in no way is supposed to be realistic. But I think it would be really cool if you took one of the main elements (perhaps the eyeball) and made it super realistic, with colors that are completely different than the rest of the painting. Or if not that, take a few of the elements that are there (perhaps the ones in the background) and make them gray-scale so that the other elements really come even more alive.

These are just two suggestions that I had that could be done to your next piece if you wanted. Just my opinion on what I think could be done differently (not necessarily better). Just as a variation of your current series. But overall I think this painting is outstanding.

You know Elizabeth, I think this painting would qualify for the current contest. Why not submit it and see what happens. You can always pull it before the contest end date If you want. Just saying.
