Hi there,
These images are nicely done. Maybe a bit more contrast would add more life. The midtones sort of dominate. I would like to see your light a bit lighter. I like the idea and layout for the third image, but there doesn't seem to be any emotion in the model. Looks too planned. I like the point of view for the first image, but do not like the layout. I would like to see it not as centered. Extend the shot farther to the right and higher to see what is out there. Add more interest by moving your subject off center to the left.

Good work though. I want to see more from you soon,
Joe

I think the male model is just fine. However, Perhaps he should be doing male things. The 1st photo, A man would not stand on a rail that way. He looks like a female. 2nd photo A man would not sit on the edge of a tub and pour water down his back. In that photo he looks like a female. 3rd. photo. A man would not reach up in that way. The positions of the model are female positons.
Perfection is what drives an artist.
The inability to achieve perfection is what creates a work of art.

I really like your photographs! I would agree with the comment about more contrast, but disagree with the last comment about changing the poses for your model. I think its interesting that the male model is in female poses...was this your intentions?? I think that if it is you should continue in your progress and develop it further!! GREAT WORK!!

Thanks for the replies on the nudes.

Postby camerashy » Mon May 28, 2007 6:25 pm

Megan, Yes you are so right. I did mean for them to be intentionally female for this project. I have a series completed on making a statement about female nudes and trying to replicate this as an idea.

And yes I do need to get a website to post all this work. I don;t know how to do that unless I pay for it and what artist can pay anything, right?

ehoeveler, thanks for the compliment. I had to work a bit to get in shape.

Hi artsybabe,
Most sites will charge you to set up a site. There are some, however that are free and just take commissions on your sold pieces. If you just want a site to manage your images in different categories and add titles and descriptions to each, you can do that on our user gallery here: http://asingularcreation.com/Gallery/

Once you follow that link, create your albums and then upload your images to your created albums, not one of the public albums.

Let me know if you have any further questions.

Joe,
Thank you for this info. I have so much work I should consider. This site will help with the decision making that's for sure.

nude model

Postby artistraman » Wed May 30, 2007 11:38 am

The look and feel is great. Black and white robs off the cheap market look and makes it artistic. I feel if you add foreshortening in the figure it would add drama to the theme.
