Simestra goddess of the garden

Postby artemis68 » Sun Aug 04, 2013 5:30 pm

I have finished this, took ages, its 1850x1550 mm approx, using oil paint, kiln dried sand, spray paint and varnish.
I had to secure the board to a home made frame as i wanted to make it bigger and also the ply i used warped badly, so i screwed the whole piece on to a spare wall in my lounge.
Talking point to be sure! :)

Alisdair, this is unique and beautiful. Your patterns are bright, clean and well thought out.
Also, I always like to see patterns going 'off canvas'! Thank You, E

Nice artwork. Slightly sensual figure methinks. Yes I like how the artwork goes 'off the frame'. Interesting.

Yes it sensual, i think there is a strong link with my art and sexuality!
In nature sex is every where, from bees to flowers, proboscis to pollen, fertilisation, the shape of flowers, its all around! :)
