Well, this digital art has got me really excited about art again.

I'm my own worst critic so I changed it a little.

Moving the other pupil was a good choice! Layers! Aren't they useful? Might try adding a slight gradient to the skull to give shadow and depth. I totally dig watching your progress.

I had to merge the layers the get it to save as a PNG file. I you look in my gallery I have an example there of what happened when I tried to save it as a Jpeg. I actually had 40 layers. When I merged them it lost a little. Still I like how its so easy to make changes. I'm leaning allot using the Gimp software. Could use some advice on which Wacom pad would be best. I don't want to start out with something beginner because what ever I buy will probably be what I have to end up with.

Would the addition of black
around the skull's eye be the
change that you speak of?
I see black in your Avatar but
your latest art post looks the same as before...?
Do I need stronger glasses? E.

E, if you look at the eye area in the missing half of the skull you'll see where the lighting meets it makes a circle pupil. In the first pic this is random and off center, in the second it mirrors the other half.

As for tablets, well they can be really pricy. So really it depends on your budget and how you work. What are you looking to do primarily?

Doing Digital art really helped my traditional art. It gave me a break from paint and allowed me to focus on colors more.

Moving the pupil gave the scull a staring at you effect. What I was going for.

Planing on flying! My friend. Planing on flying! But I do believe it's the artist who makes the tools and not the tools that make the artist. Probably do well enough with a mouse for a while.

I like the ease of changes. Love the color wheel. I have all the different changes I did to the piece in my Gallery.
