I made this one in Blender and Photoshop. Everybody says it looks 'nice', BUT I want you to tell me what is NOT nice. Where can this image improve. I feel that it lacks...

Two things I can think of, since you're feeling it's missing something:
One is that the background has more detail and texture than the rider and (his?) vehicle... I'm thinking that some shadow/reflection might help give some more definition there. At least, maybe tweak the rider's colors a bit; it's hard to tell where the jacket ends and the vehicle begins, and it throws off the form/proportions of the rider.
The other is more of a personal opinion... when I see that much piping and steam, I tend to expect a little rust/corrosion/dirt, that sort of thing... don't know if you can do that or want to do that, but it's a thought...
