A Walk on the Beach

Postby xxbreezy » Fri Jun 18, 2010 10:35 am

This is a 16x20 Acrylic on canvas. I tried to capture how a walk on the beach can seem so surreal, calming, and peaceful. This is cropped at the top to be able to size it and post on ASC. Enjoy!

Yeah, it definitely has something surreal about it, you captured the water and the figure well, but some shading would further accentuate that feel in my opinion. The dog looks very good, and I like her stillness.

Love this Linda!! I especially love how you have transitioned the water's depth to the shoreline! Great job, but I agree with Erika that maybe a tad shadow would develop this a bit more.
love the Boxer!

Thanks for viewing Erika! The reflection in the real painting is a little more pronounced than this copy posted here but thanks for the tip!

Glad you like it BYart!! Not sure what to shadow...like I told Erika...the reflection is a little deeper than what appears here. I think shadowing whatever, would take away from the reflection in the water. Thank you also for the tip.
