New Art work for exhibit

Postby sandrostudio » Fri Dec 01, 2006 12:07 am

I am currently working on a series of paintings to enter an exhibition.
I am hoping for some pointers as to which style would be more presentable.
Both are acrylic, but one piece has much more detail
Any feedback is appreciated.

Thanks

Like all 3 works. The 1st 2 are nice and clean with details. I like the tree in the sunset most. Like the color and the way the tree sets against the sky.
Perfection is what drives an artist.
The inability to achieve perfection is what creates a work of art.

I like all three very much. The first one is the cleanest and definitely the most printable. The second is very close to the first in style and quality. The detail of the objets in the foreground is very good. Both are extremely interesting and well presented. Actually, each time I look at them, I like them more than I did before. The third painting seems like another person did it. It is very good, yet different in style. The colors are beautiful and the texture is very nice. The contast is powerful. But overall, the composition of the first two are stronger in my opinion. The third painting would be terrific as part of a larger piece. By itself, it is nice. As part of a larger, more complex work, it would be amazing. I would try to incorporate the third painting into a larger work that resembles the style featured in the first two works.

best regards,
Joe

The First two paintings are a different style, and were created at an earlier stage. I have recently changed to a “looserâ€
