Colorful Friendship

Postby krysta11 » Sat Sep 19, 2009 6:19 pm

Hi ALL!

This one was the last one painted by me for the next festival in Jindabyne.
It is oil on canvas 100 cm/80.
I was thinking how to show multicultural friendship in my art. I decided to paint it like that.
What do you think my friends?
Hope , it is showing "Colorful Friendship"

Two days of work.
Thanks a lot for your input.

Now this is the kind of off the wall work I really like. The colors in this work are very
ight. The details are great. The movement in the arms and legs are great. This is an outstanding work indeed. One has to kind of regress into thier childhood mind and heart to do this kind of work. When the rules go out the window. Art comes though the door. This work is one of happyness and freedom. Freedom from the walls between the races. And the sesation of a good happy feeling. If we took all the young children of the world. And put them in a room. All they would do is laugh and play. But then we will teach them to hate. Will we not.
Perfection is what drives an artist.
The inability to achieve perfection is what creates a work of art.

Oh John, thank you so much for seeing my intention like that in my work.
This is exactly how I want people to read the message in this piece.
You really made my day.
Big kiss and hug

Thank you Mike very much!
My beloved grandson David, who is in mine legal care since six years has two best friends Moise , who is from Africa and Samuel, who is from Indie.
He invites them to our place often to play x-box. I am lucky to observe this multicultural friendship among children . The skin color means nothing to them. They are happy and natural and like John said, there is not a wall which could separate this friendship ever. I wish they will grow together and stay friends forever.

Krysta

This is another side of you and I like it very much. Your use of color is remarkable! You managed to capture a happy feeling through this great painting.

Reminds me of a slumber party.

Very good job!

There is definitely a childlike enthusiasm to this that I love. Maybe you were inspired by your grandchild and his friends? And I love that he has such diverse friends. I wish I'd had that opportunity as a kid; that sort of exposure to other cultures is great for developing an open mind.
