SUMMER DRESS by krysta

Postby krysta11 » Sat Nov 15, 2008 8:58 pm

I don't know if Vincent van Gogh would be proud of me looking at my climbing roses but hope you will like it. Whenever I need some relaxing work I like to paint flowers. Roses are not easy to paint. It is actually the first time I painted roses. They were blue but I decided to repaint these beautiful flowers and give them more natural look.

Thank you for viewing and opinions.

all the best

Yep, i like the colour. Very much. I also like the canvas shape. It works totally with the idea of the vine.
You are very good with flowers.. you can tell you love it, they always come out so beautiful. I would love this painting for my home, in fact my beadroom. i like waking up to things that make me happy.... which this does

Hello Krysta,
The painting is beautiful. I like this version with the pink much better! I liked the blue, but the pink is more natural. I actually had a climber just like this in my garden, and it bloomed with such vi
ance and beauty...just like your painting.
Good Job!

This is a lonnng painting. And I like the look of the pink roses and the green leaves.

The inability to achieve perfection is what creates a work of art.

Wow, you did a really good job with the lighting and the diffences in size with the roses.
The mere attempt to examine my own confusion would consume volumes.

Hello glomsky,

It is very nice to see you back. Thank you for liking my roses. They are really beautiful but to paint that amount - boring . I am glad I finished this one.
All the best glomsky and stay with us,please

A quiter, sadder version these days due to life's mishaps again.

I pray you are well.

Workwise, I'm using a lot of pastel colours as I find them soothing and relaxing to this battered man.

God bless you all.

I agree...maybe not white but maybe some sort of violet in my opinion. It would add variety and interest. You master the art of combining colors, I think you know which color look best with the pink you chose for your flowers. It's very well painted though and I like it very much.

Take care,
Arlynn
