A Faries Gift

Postby Ted » Fri Jun 20, 2008 2:13 pm

I Thought I would share what I have been working on here latley, I was Inspired by a piece from artist Melanie Delon (tears of the moon) that I wanted to create it. While putting my own touch in this painting I have come to start creating new work with fantasy enviroments that has inspired me to create more pieces like this. Photoshop

Hey Ted,

I added your image for you. It was so high in quality that it was too large, even when I resized it. So I incresed the attachment quota to 200KB.

By the way, the image is great. I like it a lot.

all the best,
Joe

Thanks! Joe for the adjustments. and the nice comments, this was challenging indeed close to 50 layers and 3 custom
ushes, and a lot of coffee.

Ted that is awe inspiring for certain. you can certainly see the great benefits of those layers. If I was to give any critical comment it would be the jaw and eye on the right side seem abit off. I only mention it because it is so superior in so many ways. Great Job!

Thankyou for the comments, and very good eyes for detail, I did spend alot of time on the right side of her face, and it looked off to me as well. Ajusting as much to a beleivable face was challenging indeed, I guess the farie tale qualities alowed me to accept her and move on to complete this one.

Ted, if you're tired of it, put it away for a while, but do not leave it like this. Do whatever it takes to fix the face and the hand on my right. They take away from an otherwise perfect work of art. The composition and background with the fairies are outstanding.

Excellent detail!

Beautiful scene.

I agree that the left eye of the big fairy is on a slant.

Still, to put that much concentration and effort one is allowed to make the odd faux pas as it were.
