Paper sculpture. It is to portray an arranged marriage or a forged team in a Corporate America.

The way you illustrate that team or partnership, looks perfectly harmonious. Sorry, I can't buy the message. It looks great though as a decorative piece, it's very well done.

Yeah, I have to agree with Erika on this one, Bijan. Too gentle-looking
for the title, even with the red cord. E

Bijian, Team or Teamwork was a good title, I just didn't agree with your commentary, that's all. It's about harmony and balance in my eyes.

I agree, very harmonious and loving....a Bonded marriage. Swans signify bonded love themselves...and my husband and I collect them as a sign of our marriage...so I always look at them in that light. But that's just me...I love your paper swans.

When I hear/see "forged" I think of anvils and rather violent (or at least coercive) activity. The same goes for arranged marriages -- with the exception that most arranged marriages are entered into somewhat willingly, but there is still the idea of merging two entities which might be at complete odds with each other. The piece of red twine does have geat affect in symbolising an externally imposed "tie," but doesn't go far enough in implying the work involved in creating the union.

I just love these swans! They are so graceful and so lovingly entwined! I think I'd just change the motivation statement.

I also just saw a competition for 2 and 3 D paper artworks that this piece would rule. Now, if I could just remember where I saw that . . .
