Cold As Ice

I made this character portrait for a friend in a game we mutually play. Please excuse the small size and poor compression quality as I am not home to upload the original file.

Looking for feedback on what looks poorly done, what looks unpolished, and what it is that I did well. I need an outside perspective. This kind of cubist inspired polsterization stuff is a direction I have been heading, but I remain unsure if I my work is up to snuff.

Well, I surely do like it! November, it's nice to see those filters being used in a fresh way.
Image is wonderfully strong - very attractive. Interesting layers of color and imagery.
Thank You, E

You know it's funny you mention that, cause my friend thought I used filters for the portrait too, but actually I did it all by hand :D The only filtering going on is on the background, where I used "accented edges" at one point to give it some texture.

Maybe I should consider adding more details so that people stop thinking I just threw a filter over everything

^^^ I think you brought up an interesting phenomenon though, and it will ultimately push me to evolve my work, so I don't think it is really a bad thing.

I also think it's interesting because you've manually mirrored Photoshop!!
That means you have bio-dig transference skillz. Yes, I just made that up
but it's true. That could be a series 'mirroring PS'...Or better yet, "Answering, Dialogue With, etc., Photoshop.
