I'm making this new Tori Amos painting. Having difficulties in painting her hair. Any advice?

I cannot comment with authority because you have always painted her hair really nicely!
Just go back to some of your earlier work. Thank You, E

It may take around ten days though. I'm a perfectionist when it comes to portraits, especially those of Tori. Also, thank you for your kind replies.

Great subject, and nicely executed.

Not really done well. I noticed it when I put the painting up against a mirror as well as taken photos of it and flipped the image on a photo editor.. yesterday, I was able to correct some of my mistakes on this painting.

The apple is distracting for me. Why put it there. Ruined what might be a good artwork. Oh well.

I like the idea of the apple.. It's part of the concept of her album "The Beekeeper"

So far, its looking great... you have some high tones and dark tones already blocked out... start with that, do the under coats, and then add texture and highlights as you develop it out. I would focus on keeping it soft though, have some defining hair strand texture but dont allow it to get muddy with lines. Stay consistent with the soft feel you already have established while introducing the texture on a subtle level. And see how you like it. :)
