Very very beginner

This is a forum where you can post your art work and ask what the world thinks. I am looking for general feedback, nothing too technical. A push in the right direction would be appreciated.

Very very beginner

Postby chris22 » Thu Jul 25, 2013 1:15 am

Hello I am very much a beginner, i did a little bit of art growing up in school and with my uncle who oil paints, I have always admired art of all types, I have always wanted to get into oil painting and learn all about it and see what I could create but I have never really gone through with the idea until finally I just had the sudden urge too andI went and purchased supplies and went to work. The stuff I created so far is very beginner and amateur, I am not trying to sell my art or enter competitions I really am looking for honest feedback to help me learn and keep moving on with creating more art. I honestly love doing it, and see myself continuing to paint for a long time to come.

You are off to Such a good start! Your mountains and up-front trees are my
favorites. As far as the skies go, #s1 and 3 are intriguing - love to see which
way you go with those. Thank You, E

You're off to a good start in my opinion. #2,3 and 4 are my favourites. I like the trees and sky. #1 looks incomplete to me.

Still, well done and keep on creating!

Good stuff

Again if you can photograph the artwork itself without the periphery the artwork will look much better.

you have a great eye for texture on your mountains.. and intitial start to the trees look good too. the trees overall, could use some more highlights and deep tones to give them depth and life which will tie in with the whole picture...

What medium are you using... looks like pastels in the photos in some areas?
Either way.. they look great, keep it up.
May your world be painted in the Brightest of colors!
