Hi Cheyenne,

Welcome to ASC. I love nature photography and your photos are nice. But I also think that they are pretty common. Nature is very beautiful and very exciting. You need to capture that in your photos. Most people can find a pretty flower and shoot it. So what you need to do is find out something special about that flower. Capture it in a unique or vulnerable state. Capture nature from a perspective that is a bit different than we observe on a daily basis.

all the best,
Joe

Very nice images but I agree with Joe above. You need to find something 'differentt' when photographing that will make your images stand out.

Good luck and God bless.

Uh-huh - you're off to a great start!
When shooting, Look for: variances of shading or light,
how the subjects are positioned in your cam lens and
so forth, the surroundings of the subject and how they
will add or detract from your main, etc.
Keep up the good work! E

Thanks! The pictures were taken with my iPhone camera because I got interested in photography recently and today I ordered a Nikon P&S so I'm excited to take some better pictures!

Yes indeed! I'm very excited! Some people told me not to get the Nikon but it felt right to get this camera and I can't wait to receive it!

I have a Nikon Coolpix and it is a brilliant little camera. Be careful to buy the right memory card. Mine holds over 4000 images LOL!
