Thanks to both of you. Still in display mode, so far. I do have a show starting this Friday in Davis, CA, about 15 miles from home. It's a downtown thing where the local merchants show art in their stores and the artists are there to talk with folks about their works. It should be interesting, the first time I've done something like this. Wish me luck!

BTW, cacodemonic means "of or relating to evil spirits."

Last night was quite cold out. My artwork was displayed in a record store downtown. We stood outside the store and directed people in to see the artwork, and handed out free cookies (OK, a bribe). I sold one, which was my first sale and really thrilling. I got some good feedback from customers; one told me they couldn't get close enough to get a good look at the drawings with all of the merchandise and musicians in the way. Something I will have to take into account next time.

One customer told me I was undervaluing my art (they were priced at $8). I told him I wasn't sure how to price them.

Overall, all went well, learned a lot, and probably will wait until it gets warmer to do it again.

Yay!!!! An artist's first sale is always a huge event.
Which one did you sell? Anything we've seen?
My 'firstie' was also a 'low-baller' - $25 after spending hours
rendering the thing but oh, what a thrill.
Yes, I think $8 is really low for your artwork - I would suggest 'jacking up'
your asking price to at least $25 and I would say even more if it weren't
for this economy. Congratulations, my Dear!! E.

Thank you so much! Your encouragement was a great motivator. The sold piece was "Red Bull Left A Cold Turkey
Aftertaste In My Brain". You can see it here: http://art.thewallisgroup.com/img/Goth%20Nouveau/25-Red%20Bull%20Left%20A%20Cold%20Turkey%20Aftertaste%20In%20My%20Brain.jpg. We will probably test out prices and see what the market will bear. Thanks again for all your support!
