Re: Accepting the truth

Thank you Gosia and ehoeveler for your supportive comments.
It is nice to know that others acknowledge how important and powerful art therapy can benefit others.
I believe there are a lot of people using their creativity as a means of self-therapy without themselves knowing about it.

Re: Angels visit St. Francis

Thank you ehoeveler (E) for your supportive comments. It has been a while since my last piece of artwork. I am a bit apprehensive because my ideals and visions always exceed my creative accomplishments. Also, I tend not to complete things. I am hoping that this thread, and the support of other membe...

Re: Forest guardian. Clay 70% done.

Hello Kristian.
Your clay work is very creative. From your website, the Forest Guardian is a step up. As you mentioned ..."I'm trying to take my sculpture to the next level" - you certainly have.
Keep up the good work.

Mahl stick (hook type)

Recently I came across an Internet image of an artist using a hook-type mahl stick. The hooked end hanged over the top railing/edge of the canvas/board. It could also be used over the top rail of a large easel. Since I could not buy one locally, I decided to make my own from a scrap piece of alumini...

Accepting the truth

As a single child, it was a very lonely and terrifying home life with an abusive drunken father. As an adult, I used art therapy to help me see the truth of my past. My father was sick - mentally and spiritually. Here are some of my drawings that helped me to understand my own fears and misconceptio...
