Re: Any online instruction recommendations for a new painter

Can you direct me to a map? Short answer is No, because there is no map based on your comment that you wanted to keep your own individuality. And, anyone telling you there is one is stupid, lying or trying to sell you something for hundreds or thousands of dollars you could simply look at online for...

Re: Any online instruction recommendations for a new painter

Good evening Rocco. It sounds like you have arrived at your midlife crisis. While it is compelling to help you find what you want, I will not. You have far to many speed through everything to get to making money issues. If that makes sense then I suggest you hire someone to enhance your job applicat...

Re: Let the Games Begin II

Ah, thank you Jennifer. If you have not already looked and have the time, the original post of Let the Games begin will give the history that led to Let the games begin II. I also learned much in that paint off with Cristo.

Re: Let the Games Begin II

Hi Jennifer. Time on your hands? Did you really read through all this? If so, WOW! If not, you missed a lot. I agree with you on Caver's comfort. It is impressionistic as I intended. I did Earth's Heart three different times. My brother-in-law wanted Earth's Heart about 45 years ago. He framed it an...

Re: OK fellow artists and other kids

Hi Jenn. We will be buying a home in or around Running Springs in the San Bernardino mountains in Southern California. My wife wants to be closer, as in back home, to the kids. Thanks for asking. Side note. Eternal Beauty II is finished.

Re: OK fellow artists and other kids

Good morning. I a giving a heads up to anyone reading this. I am stopping painting until sometime this summer. I am in the process of preparing my home to sell and move back to California. Once I have my studio operational again I will be back to submitting work for viewing. Since I still will be do...

Re: OK fellow artists and other kids

Good morning Jenifer. Yes I have received many comments about how the aspens look like fire. But you know what, they sort of do at just about sunset on a clear day. Could be one of the reasons artists trek into the mountains every year in the fall, me included.

Re: OK fellow artists and other kids

Good morning. I felt a work flow attack. So I just followed it. Once the four skies had been painting in, which will be the first jpg posts on this message, I suddenly knew I had solved my problems I had with another series about paintings of aspens in the mountains above Santa Fe that I did about 1...

Re: OK fellow artists and other kids

Good morning. There are four 18 by 24 inch paintings in this series. I have started the posts from the very beginning of placing all four canvases on my easel and showing the first steps of mixing my paint colors. For this set of paintings I decided to try something different with the sky. Instead o...

OK fellow artists and other kids

Ok fellow artists and other kids. I saw a picture of digital art, I think. The artist kind of described how he does his work. Unfortunately, I didn't really understand him. But one of his pictures struck such a cord in me that I started seeing all kinds of pallet knife paintings of the landscape aro...

Re: Latest Painting (slight nudity)

Thanks for sharing your thinking and processes for creating a painting. I just love the light source coming from the sword in the Lady of the Lake painting which I think is a magnificent painting. Of course I knew I wasn't alone with the thinking part of the creating process, but what a pleasure to ...

Re: Practice & Post - Hands

Thank you. You can go to works in progress to see Sisters in Spirit and Barefoot Dancer for further information. Eternal Beauty has been entered into a contest but I have to wait a week or two before I know the results. Earth's Heart III is in my gallery. It won third place in the colors and abstrac...
