After sketching the Sandpipers on tracing paper, I transferred the drawing to stretched Arches 140lb watercolor paper. I then painted out the birds, seaweed and foam with masking fluid. After the fluid was dry I then layed in multiple washes of WN cobalt blue. I made sure to thoroughly dry each laye...
