Be on the look out for open calls and juried shows. These are often easier ways to get into galleries. Also, I suggest going to shows and seeing what they hang just to check if they would be right for your work.
I don't think you HAVE to do it. I mean, people who paint Ala Prima (sp?) don't do it really so no, it's not really something you have to do. If you paint with a glazing technique then you should as it makes the colors pop. I usually always at least put a single color wash under all my paintings. Us...
This is a piece I did for for my showing last night. The theme was time travel. Anyway, here you go. Acrylic on canvas. What do you all think? I am constantly evolving.
Boondock Saints!!! Your perspective is awesome. That sword in the second piece could use some work. It looks more staff like. Maybe study some swords to get more a feel for how they look.
It's a page out of a children's story book that I was working on for someone. I finished it up the other day. It's about bunnies that live in a magical land.
This is a nice start. In the interest of disclosure I found the picture that you based this drawing on (also I love her music. Carnival is my stuff). Her hand needs more definition. It looks flat in your drawing. You did a really good job of capturing what her hair was doing there but her eyes are l...
I find the ropes distracting. I mean there are already women tied up in the images so I find the extra layer of rope unnecessary and gimmicky. That's just me though. I like the drawings as is.
I'm working on this piece of art for someone and I am realizing that I did not charge enough to do this job. It is taking forever and I officially hate it. That flame is about my rage. I have so much rage. But I'm almost done!
I have quite a few friends that are bipolor in varying degress. I don't think anything of it. It's something that needs to be managed. It doesn't define who they are.
This is really nice. I really get the feeling for the wide open spaces of the pairie. the sky is really beautiful. The only thing is, this entire piece seems very blurry to me. That could just be the camera, but in case it's not, maybe defining some parts of the foreground, like the fenceposts would...
My crazy baby painting is put up for a little while. I have a showing at the end of next week that I need to finish up some art for. Don't worry, I haven't forgotten my little princess! In my world, it's halloween everyday
I love giant ignana in response to the problem. So funny! I also really dig the deails of the beast. I struggle with hands too. Hands are terrible. Not yours, just in general. I can't wait to see more of this! I feel like a dust cloud just rising from the iguna would be awesome.
