Re: White Tiger oil painting

Even though I know this is just a painting I'm ready for it to jump at me. Even if it were to jump, the eyes make it seem lovable. It would probably just curl up at my feet.

Re: D Dock, Southport Marina

You make it look easy :) I can see the amazing detail yet everything looks smooth. It's as if the sea and sky are one, and the boats are just standing in the way.

Re: sara christmas

I like the fuzzy look. If its from the picture quality too bad, because if that's how the piece looked it would be cool. When I work with pastels there is a blurry aspect as is the nature with chalk. I'd suggest bringing out the contrast for sure. Your piece is harmonious due to the selected colors....

Re: What do you think about it???

This is clearly an issue of a style choice. Its hard to comment because your style is so clear. There is things I would certainly do different, but not necessarily for better or worse. I'd like to see more of your work so I had a better understanding of what you'd like suggestions on. Still want me ...

Re: Green Eye, acryic

I think you'll see my posts are to the point and I'm not worried about telling it like it is. That said, great job! You nailed it! I think you already know that with the other eyes you did, you learned a lot, and now you know how to avoid the pit-falls. It's a really important aspect that people mis...

Re: Self portrait

No actually I meant you should definitely add more light. Reread my last post to see if it makes sense. I'd be happy to re-explain if it would help.

Re: Rainbow Crack

I only have time to write a short description, but as it is in my best interest I'll update, and answer questions. As the yellow squid zero's in on the shrimp, an angular fish also goes in for the catch. The Squid, noticing a second-to-late, mixes his natural camouflage ability and ink spitting defe...

Re: City sea.

Honestly even with it zoomed in the siren is very hard to make out. I thought the violet was the lower body, and the green was a tail? but that wouldn't make sense cuz the tail should be below the violet? I'm even more confused now. The yellow is the hair? I think I can make it out but the face is a...

Re: Door County, WI

Plein air?

The mix between hard and soft edges is what works for me.
I like how representational is remains with so much personal style added.

Re: Tugboats, Sturgeon Bay

I like the use of realism for the closest boat which gives variety to the more painterly approach elsewhere. The subtle violet in the left corner of the sky gives it a charming impressionistic feel.

Re: pastel practice

I believe this is in the wrong section. If your looking for thoughts try "be gentle" or "I am ready"
I don't want to offend you by giving suggestions. If you'd like to hear my ideas let me know.

Re: Stained Glass Japanese Dragon

IDK enough about stained glass to give you a complete critique. Compositionally it works well, except for the dragons right hand. What is that supposed to be? It is too simple and the shape is to perfect compared to everything else. I like how the flowers are symetrical, maybe the lack of detail is ...

Re: Anyone else getting washed out?

A common misbelief about global warming; not only is the Earth's temetrue rising, but so is all the other planets in our solar system. We should expect unusual weather as 2012 approaches and we enter the Hunab ku (or galactic center)

Re: What's In Your Head?

Object sexuality is a pronounced emotional and often romantic desire towards developing significant relationships with particular inanimate objects. Broom-erotisism specifically. I'm fascinated by the idea of the working class escaping their mundane reality by fantasizing about common cleaning instr...

Style: pixelated psychedelic linear associative baroc realis

To give you an idea of what kind of work I do, the painting I'm working on now is titled: " 4th dimensional furniture playing with a rubix cube while building a dam, while the first galactic gay alien biomech jetpack-basketball-lasertag takes place circa 2012" I'm excited to be here. I tak...
