Hi Maggie,

What a great start. I too like the neg space. The back ground looks great.

I've never heard of heat set oils, I'll have to check them out.

Gorgeous pics Karen. You live in a beautful area. So that's snow you got already? No wonder your painting a buck in the snow! When I saw pics of your dog, I missed my old dog Zoux so much. He was part rottie, part pitbull. He was so sweet. Love the tree too. Are you going to paint it? Enjoy your day...

Well he's a cutie. It's neat seeing a painting of a duck out of water. I don't think I've ever seen one (painting) without there being water around.

Great job.

Oh, that's gorgeous. But burrrr, without much of a summer this year it's sending a chill down my spine - not your fault. Well maybe it is. Your really good at the snow on the trees! Very atmospheric, I can feel the low pressure front dropping what looks to be 6-8 inches of snow! When the birds...

I like the start and your style, looks like it has some Asian influence. Here's an idea for framing, especially since it's 16x20. Go to an inexpensive department store with a measuring tape and look for clearance framed art. I've found some beautiful frames for my "in between stuff" with m...

Hi Nigel, While I didn't get to know you, I'm wishing you all the best to continue your recovery. Mental Health is something everyone has to take care of. I hope your art can continue on too :) . In regards to self-promotion, there's a decent book called "I'd rather be in the stuio" by Aly...

Thanks Barb, I finished it, and got a new photo of it, I'll post it in the furry section. Sa ina's my middle daughter's name. Now I'll have to do flower paintings naming my eldest and youngest  . I've already heard how "unfair" it would be not to name a flower painting after them. Hi...

Incredible art. Wow! I wouldn't know where to begin on telling you how to improve  . Your style is something many of us have been striving for, loose, with great proportions....

I hope you post more.

Also I agree with Joe.
