Hi Stirling,

What a neat perspective, I feel almost smug looking at it, like I'm the prey that go away.

Thanks everyone. I love flowers, when I was a wee one I used to just stare at them. I'd get lost in the color, texture and shapes. Who new all that "idle" time would be beneficial :D . Micheal, as far as showing them I do that often. As far a selling them I'd like to be doing that a lot mo...

Blue Clematis

Hi Everyone,
Life's been crazy busy but good, finally I took time out to post my latest blue clematis. I started it in the work in progress section and felt I should post the final here.

After 6 different backgrounds I finally decided I liked this one best.

It's oil on 30 x 40 wrapped canvas.

Hi Sylivia, I do love the colors in this, how you use the magenta so close to the orange is really exciting. And it's great how you've got flower detail at the forefront to entice the viewer to come into the painting. One little thing that I'm having problems with is that the river looks like it's g...

That's how my kids always reacted to those darn things too  . I like the design, what a challenging perspective. There is something about the color.... not sure if it's the floor or what but there's something distracting about it. I like the ightness and boldness. Maybe someone else can put a f...

Hi Sylivia and welcome,

From what I can see it looks great. I like the colors your chose and it's a great perspective - feel like I"m floating on a wing glider.

Any chance you can post it larger?

The eye looks great. :D The color is much better in the background, it makes your foal look like it's standing apart from it. My concern with the line you have next to it's head is that it mimicks the side of the foals face and it might distract the viewer and it leads your eye away from the subject...

Hi Miryana, My first thought was that I could see the first one in a very modern sleek black frame in an all white and black room that has red accents. The second one isn't exactly my cup of tea but I can appreciate that work that went into it, style, composition, and content. Then I looked at the t...

Thanks RRSum and Barb, It's nice to get encouragement. Well I started out having lots of fun and now I'm struggling with the background. Nothing I do makes me like it. Counting the white I'm on my 4th background. Here's the first two, the third got wipped clean before any pictures were taken and I'm...
