Why dont you go to the charity shops and get a frame that matches your picture just take the old pic out. That way you can state that in buying your work you are contributing to charity. Oil portrait of my cousins girls

Hi all

I have been struggling with this piece as I keep making stupid mistakes anyway what do you think still to sort out the hair and clothes and put fine detail in the eyes but waiting for it to dry otherwise I may smudge it AGAIN (sigh)

Forget what I said you have it right full stop

I think its because of the way the photo was taken in the first pic which is rather differant in the second which shows all the highlights and has better colours and shows up the tones.

I like it why have you taken so long in picking up the ush again... :? I think the part you are missing is the tonal effect (the light & dark). In her hair it only seems to be one colour but if you look at peoples hair its a couple of shades. Her face just needs a little highlighting really ligh...
