ok, I am going to take a huge guess at this, because it is all I can think of

Pablo Picasso and the painting is called "Petite Fleurs"

I know he signed very few of his works and this one in particular is signed, he was also a sculptor

Must be nice .... I like to see signatures as well as make sure mine have them....perhaps if my work was as huge and could be recognized as easily as someone like Thomas Kinkaid, perhaps one wouldn't be needed, but however, if I dare say if I ever got to be that big (big laugh)...then I think I woul...

I went with the gray because I had too many smudges on the paper to leave it white. I think I liked the white too, but it wasn't going to work. The cardinal looks duller because of this last scan....I'll see if I can fix that next time I scan him. I'm trying to lighten up the b/g a little now. Once ...

Erika, thank you! Animals have always been my niche, I guess because I put more time into them...I lose interest in drawing anything else, it seems. Saphyre, that's cute. We don't get too many cardinals here, and I miss seeing them. We have lots of chicadees and blue jays instead. Thanks for your in...

Sara, the best way for me to put it is that you may need some fine tuning that only time can do for you. I don't see many mistakes, other than what has been pointed out already....I see areas that could be made a little better to hit a more realistic look, more layers maybe, but your darks look good...

Lovely! Is that an osprey? The only thing is it seems that the bird isn't casting a shadow. ?? Love your water work!

cardinal in progress

I just started working on this beautiful cardinal...I love them! I'm still deciding on a b/g for him, and wanted some feedback on the bird before I get too far....I'm not totally confident in using color yet.
Here he is, doing him in colored pencils

I thought I'd share that I finally got a good image of Pegasus with great clarity....looks much more like the original drawing, so here he is again....I'm very proud of this piece and would much rather he look the way he should.

Hi, welcome!!! Love your work! I agree with what has been said, and have to say what struck me first was the second image....the guy being pampered, his head looks too small for the rest of him. That's the main thing I keep seeing wrong. Love your style and contrasts are great. You do very nice work.

You are very talented Halleck, don't fret it out. Take the chance and be ready for anything....that's how dreams are achieved. I'd say you have a very good chance at being selected. Good luck.

E, he looks like one rooster I don't want to tangle with. I had one that was a mean little SOB....this really reminds me of him. Nice colors in him.
