Nice job! You have captured the feline look very well, I love her face, she does look like a lady cat. The only thing is that the eyes look a little off-balance. Fill her in and get that pencil going, she's going to be a beauty!

Wow, that's a great start with a new medium, especially one as difficult as oils. I've never tried oils before, I need to really practice with a ush. I always want to start trying, but always grab my pencils instead. You have a good hand and eye, the glass on the second one turned out really nice an...

First, this waterfall is eathtaking! Very beautiful! I love the mist. Second, I agree wiht Erika, the monutains take the focus and it took me a little while to tell there was a lake in the b/g, although the horizon between water and sky is well done. I guess the mountains are just a little too much,...

Have you looked into local galleries or tried doing personal exhibits yet? You can also check things like gift shops and stores in and around tourist areas, they tend to take in work on a consignment type basis. :) I don't work with paint, so to help with this wouldn't quite be my area. The thing I ...

Spartan, the easiest way to charge your commissions is by the inch of paper size. It depends on how you feel about your value of work, and I'd say you do some really good work. I've seen some artists charge as low as $1 per inch and some a lot more. It also depends on the medium you'll be using for ...

Hi~~~welcome!

I think you should show more of your work more often, it's good!
One thing I'd like on this one is more detail in the face.
Your comp is good and so is your lighting, and you did a nice job on her clothes and the reflection of light behind her.

I'm sorry eezy...I did see this the other day, but didn't have time for posting much, then haven't been on since. The boards have been quiet for the past couple of days it seems. :) I think this is going to be lovely, nice composition, it's just a little difficult to spot a focal point in it thus fa...

Biggest guess? DAVID LOL John! thought he did sign his work, I know Monet did, because he's my favorite artist and most of everything I've seen of him has his name....I could have sworn I've seen the same on Mikey....however, since you are talking sculptures....that makes more sense....and why I was...

I try that, and it looks worse. It comes out a lot lighter in color and blurry....or too dark. I'll take about 12 pics and pick the best one and it just doesn't work out as good. If you look at my pegasus again, I put up a newer scanned one vs the original photo of it and the scanned version is waay...

I like this a lot! Very pretty color flow. The cut off doesn't bug me, doesn't Georgia O'Keefe do some cut offs on her flowers sometimes? But to each their own
Very pretty!!

Thanks Erika. I don't want to do any overkill on the B/G so I decided to stop right here. Is it coming up really grey on your screen in the anches, or are you only talking about the sky? The anches have a lot of colors flowing through themselves from yellows, reddish owns and black....tried to stay ...
