Re: art coach

I sacrificed a lot to be the artist I'm am today. I'm not sacrificing anymore. I'm at a point and I think you are too E...we are what we are. Now lets go and make a good damn painting! No disrespect, but F*** Paul Klein.

Re: Shadow Fiend

From a pure visual standpoint, texture and vibrant colors are pleasing. But I'm lacking the strong response that this painting wants to have.

Re: Help! First time post on a forum-

Oops, didn't realize you titled them. I just took from the "I don't have any plan" thing and thought it was non-objective work. My bad. A close-up of the mark making would help us appreciate these pieces even more.

Re: Help! First time post on a forum-

I looked at some of your other work and it looks like these are abstract flower paintings(at least the second one). If that wasn't your intention then I think subconsciously it came through. The first one almost has an under water base of the ocean feel to it. (with little air bubbles floating up) G...

Re: Can this picture be saved?

Maybe go with some white. Seems like it'll create the most contrast right now and it could point you in the right direction. Who knows??? Anyway, that's where I would start.

Re: Amish No More

Glad to hear your getting some work. Also I just thought you should be reminded of the 2 rules of WIP.
Rule 1.Nothing is too narly for WIP.
Rule 2. Nothing is too narly for WIP.

Re: Flight Of Stairs. Flight Of Blitzkrieg

Oh, man. Like this one a lot. I don't really post about how much I like and appreciate your work, but I usually don't know what to say or add. Your in the zone and you just keep cranking them out. Good stuff.

Re: Roy

It's from a photo of my late pap while he had alzheimer's. He always had that surprised look on his face, almost childlike. I do miss him.

Amish No More

It's not going to be for everyone, but here it is. The subject title is not necessary the painting's title. It was more of a reference to what it once was and what it is now. Don't dwell too much on that little tid-bit. At least I hope that you won't.

Re: graffiti landscape

I agree. Graffiti-esque would have been more appropriate.

Im thinking about extending this painting. So I guess it belongs in the "works in progress section".
