Currently Im working on a step by step process that I started posting in the "I'm ready for the fury" section because I wanted detailed feedback, but I could have just as easily posted it in this section. I know this post is redundant, but I wanted to put more awareness to the ".001 %...

Re: Step by Step

How ambitious to paint that text. It shows what can be done if you apply your self.
This was certainly educational for me. It was kinda hard to see though because the images were so large that I couldn't see them all at once.

Re: need advice

First of all I like it. You've already captured the glowing effect nicely. I think the more you play with it the more you'll see what your options are. I''ve always loved to make my paintings as bright as I can. Only recently did I find out that by neutralizing (greying or making dull) colors then w...

Re: .001% Club

#8 Dec 12 27 1/2 X 32 cm 8:15 - 10:15 pm After setting up the composition, getting my tools together, and making a value scale, I was too excited to paint to spend time on one more task - preparing my 50/50 medium. So I painted without medium today (except turpentine). I got another helpful tool tod...

Re: .001% Club

#7 Dec 12 22 1/2 X 18 1/2 cm 12:00 - 2:00 am I got the idea to do this painting bcuz I couldn't finish my last one. So I zoomed in on the part I didn't have time for. This is a Buddah Sculpture and "Ground Chuck" - a super ninja turtles action figure. Here's what I learned; 1. Everything i...

Re: .001% Club

PVS - not as good as #5 RE - Doesn't really show what I'm going for. I used a full rag efficiently and didn't take a picture. I really don't need to show these anymore My tube wringer to take stress off the hands/wrists. My apothecary jar which holds my unused turpentine. I want to get several more ...

Re: .001% Club

#6 Dec 11. 32 x 31 1/2 cm 9:00 - 11:00 pm My GF set up the still life tonight. We decided that if I had to build a composition we might as well clean and organize the section of the studio where it would be. Killing two birds with one stone. Having her set it up will give me less control, therefor I...

Re: Stalled painting

I think a Klimt style background would look great, but I think the gold may look dull in comparison to the yellow (blonde) hair. Once you've got the background in the colors in the foreground will look differently. Don't worry about that thought, until your next stage is complete. This is a good rem...

Re: dreams

Funny I saw it as a much bigger figure. I thought it was more implied. I see it now. Cool that I knew it was there even though I didn't see it.

In the future, I"ll know to zoom in to take a closer look.

PVS - Obviously much better than my first try. Notice I only used about half of the spectrum.

Re: .001% Club

#5 Dec 10 9:45 - 11:45 pm 13 1/2 X 18 1/2 cm Added two more official sections for review to my painting study. PVS - Pallet Value Study RE - Rag efficiency I've noticed that when wiping off my pallet knife or brush on my painting rag I don't ever use the whole thing before I let it dry, or throw it ...

Re: dreams

Linseed will help paint to stay looking wet, but it doesn't enhance the colors...I'm going to play around to see if I can get this sort of effect.
About your piece, now I'm confused...I thought she was looking to the distance in right.

Re: .001% Club

Thanks Feremiev.
IDK if you saw but I'm reading Dali now and have a few other authors on my list. I"ll put "drawing with the right side of the brain." on the bottom of my list...I'll get to it eventually.

Re: dreams

Very cool! It looks like it is black light paint. How did you get it so vibrant? I seek to have over-saturated colors, have you seen "Rainbow Crack"? I wish that painting was more like this! I feel like I can make out a feminine fairy presence, am I making that up? or was it intentional?

Re: tree

Does what you changed fixed the problem you had at first?
I think it does. Good good.

IDK if I see what you see...I'm pretty far out there...I can make out an iguana, a vagina, or a DMT light being emerging...What do you see?
