Yes--I always seem to use that term for cats--I've had my own cats ever since I was about five--That cat was of a litter of four strays that I used to feed along with her momma--and for strays/feral types they were very friendly--I wish I could have taken them in, but I already had a bunch of cats t...

THE BUSINESS END OF PHOTOGRAPHY--HOW TO GET PUBLISHED-Part I

I've had the honor, you might say, and was asked by one of the moderators here, and I hope she doesn't mind my naming her..."ehoeveler" to do a tutorial about the way things are in the photography world, particularly the nuts and bolts business end of it, especially if one is interested in...

Okay--will do--just give me awhile to do that==I think the best way would to be also for me to list some of the websites themselves that give this kind of info--From what I'm reading for instance...the microstock form of selling one's photo work, quite frankly sucks...only way to put it...those are ...

My Photo Website-at least for now

Okay this is a real basic no-frills website--a freebie over at Tripod--I am hoping to one day be able to afford a much better one, a more professional one to sell my photography on-line--in the meantime, I'm hoping that this one will do for now, so when prospective photobuyers ask to view my work on...

My goodness--this post is getting busy--LOL I did get my work published but that was ten years ago--back then all I had to worry about was if my work was published one-time rights, exclusive rights, etc. etc--the world of photography has certainly changed--now I'm taking a crash course so to say in ...

Wish I had taken that cat photo--it is my favorite and I use it as my avatar just about everywhere I post I understand of what you've went through as well--no I didn't suffer from depression, but I've had panic disorder with agoraphobia--At one time, years and years ago, I was completely housebound-...

A Fairy watercolor

I guess I must be influenced by "Good Fairies, Bad Fairies" because I have a series of watercolor paintings like this--This particular painting I did for a friend of mine and gave as a present. Before I did however, I had it scanned--the color isn't exactly like the original no matter how ...

I love both images--they truly capture a sense of antiquity, especially the first one ---the outer softness in the photos also adds wonderfully to the entire compostion--really giving an ageless moment captured forever --all in all, you gave a wonderful tribute to Trudy

What can I say--I am cat lover, having two highly pampered babes myself--so of course I just love any photo of a cat--I always have had the tendency to go for a bit more contrast--which maybe your photo could use--just a tad--other wise aok

The Photowork of Melanie

Well, here I am really for some critique over my photo work--I've been photographing practically all my life but didn't think about a career in this field until I got my first 35mm film camera back in 1977--a Nikkormat ELW, which believe it or not I still use. I have had success in getting my work p...
