Re: 'Water' in Acrylic

Carl, your crit is unsatisfying. I'm going from 'Jack the Dripper' to "pure genius, do some in colors and have a show". Which is it, Bro? This is need to know.
Framing idea is great. Thank You, Joe!

Re: In The Wake of Decimation

Lol, the drips work, here! Like blood coming out of bullet-holes. Buckshot holes accent the blue quite nicely. Your blue is strategically based and spare enough to give us a good look at your frightened Angel, centered nicely on canvas. I'm liking a lot, the brushwork used to shade parts of her body...

Re: 'St. Joe's, Play Ball ' !

Well said, Carl, which brings up a great tip used over many a decade: Prior Planning Prevents Piss Poor Performance. Yoli, I actually need to do what Carl suggested for you. A little extra work beforehand prevents mistakes and paInt-overs. Carl - Marines? You Bad-Ass, you! My Dad was a Louie on the S...

Re: 'St. Joe's, Play Ball ' !

Yoli, NO, GIRL!!!!!! If you want to do figurative work, you must master all parts of
the body. Hands are the worst - I labor and labor practicing hands and am still never
sure that they are good enough. Some parts of art I have a talent for and other
parts I gotta work harder at. Don't give up. E

Re: Sunset on the Mary D. Hume

Lynnn! SO GLAD to have you back! Was thinking of you the other day.
A wonderfully clean-edged boat with the most delightful color washes...
The water knocks me out because of your light-over depth wave technique
and that sky? A throbbing, pastel Heaven. E

Re: 'St. Joe's, Play Ball ' !

The whole thing has a marvelous vibe. I went to Sacred Heart School in Miami and I remember that same look of joy on a few of the nun's faces! Your colors are always attractive and the themes are consistently delightful. However, I'm gonna continue to take you to task about those hands! The back of ...
