Good morning. I think I have solved some of the problems I was experiencing with transferring the drawing to the larger canvas for this painting. The problems of the need to change the size and shapes of some of the forms within the smaller drawing to the larger drawing was solved in the prior paint...

Re: Composition Question...

Good evening Joseph. The bushes on the left destroy the balance in the painting. Cut them down and remove the cut down limbs from the painting. Your wife is correct.

Re: Barefoot Dancer

Good morning guys. Thanks for stopping by to give a comment. Kristain, thank you for your advise. I will look at that. Joseph, when I read you comment to my wife, she chuckled and said, "I am a liberated" woman. We have been married for 46 years now. I don't think she feels threatened.

Barefoot Dancer

I am presenting this as a string of pictures like I did with Sisters in Spirit. I have quite a few first time experiences in this painting. I have never done a portrait this small before. I have never worked in this color hue or tone before. I have never painted such a flowing dress before. I have n...

Re: Sisters in Spirit

Well I looked at your site and I am totally confused. It appears that you have digitally manipulated your paintings although it looks like only slightly. I am assuming they are original paintings because once downloaded I was able to inspect the canvas tooth and brush strokes. You are a fine artist ...

Re: Greek Goddess's of Air Earth Fire and Water

Again thank you for taking a look and for you comments Ivanov. Interesting observation about the aging. The first one looks the youngest while actually Gaia is the oldest of this goddess group as well as Amphitrite (I got mixed up naming this one Aphrodite) looking the oldest is the youngest of thes...

Re: Transferring Complex Line Drawing to Canvas

Good morning. Fineartamerica.com actually gives you a choice of several types of canvas from inexpensive to museum quality at the higher price end range. You can visit the site and look at an artist's painting and play around with the right side of the page that lists canvases, prints, etc. If you w...

Re: Transferring Complex Line Drawing to Canvas

Good morning. The answer is yes. I had a painting I did posted on fineartamerica.com in my account. With Photoshop elements 11, I converted it to black and white then posted it. Be sure that the picture is at least 3 megapixels. While the site advertises unlimited MPG I have never been able to post ...

Re: Fat toad sculpture.

Kristain. How do you keep coming up with these fantastic creatures. I am beginning to think you are certifiable. Maybe at some future date we could be assigned to the same institution. I am sure the recreation room would never be the same.
