Hi, from Cape Cod!

Hello, My name is Jen and I'm happy to be new to this Wonderful Artist's Community. I have always painted or drawn, and I did take a few art classes in high school, and pursued a minor in art in college, but I still feel mostly self taught, and I'm certainly still learning! You paint beautifully. The colors here are great, love the reds. Also, I really like the ripples in the water behind the boat, nice touch. JC

The Captain's Widow's House

Hello, this is the main thing I am currently working on, mostly because it is huge and takes up an entire corner of my studio! I feel it is pretty much finished, but would appreciate any suggestions before I stick a fork in it, i.e. have my fella frame it. THanks. JC :D

I like the way you made your point known through a simple, straight forward symbolism. It says a lot with few frames, a scene is played out right before our eyes , and that's harder than it seems.

I can't understand why anyone wouldn't like this. It's beautiful, very expressive and shows a very high level of skill. And in watercolor no less! A Medium I love but am not skilled in. 8)
