I think your creativity is fabulous. I wouldn't change a thing!! I would like to see something going off the edge of the paper but Crow is gloriously dead and is as he should be. This is a statement and it doesn't matter if he has two claws or ten. He is still hanging on and it emits the statement t...

The bird is actually a sandcrane. I am thinking of titleing it "Hiding Out" What do you think? I dislike titleing I think it sometimes is a deterent. You know, too cute, to directive, too descriptive, not big enough etc.

Thanks. I was concerned about the focal point but I guess the red is enough to distract from the one larger area of white.

I really do appreciate your comments

Here is another I am trying to finish to enter into a show. What do you think I need to do to this one? I have lifted the color from the eye. I felt it...

Thank you for your responses. I have worked on it and think it has a bit more depth. Waiting for your ideas before I say much as I don't want to point out something you may not notice. It shows up a bit murky here in the dark area below his arm but I dont' see it here in real life. I think it is the...

I see what you are saying. As I looked at it on this site I was having problems with his clothing also. You are right the depth is not there. I do want detailed criticism. If I don't know it's oken I can't fix it. We tend to see what we intend to paint and it's not always there to someone else. I am...

I agree with the other comment. I think you should just close your eyes and go for it. How big is this piece? Jody

Watercolor. The darks don't appear as dark here as they really are but other than that it is fairly well represented.

No other pieces of helpful advice? I was wondering about the light square area at the bottom. Is it too big?

compostionally interesting?

I want to know if the composition of this piece is good. I can take the pain. I really want the nitpicky details. Should it be rotated ? Jody
