Wonderful colors! Nice composition. The person looks out of place and a little too basic.

Arlynnhr; Maybe you could darken or give less detail to the elements you don't want to stand out. Maybe make those elements a little bit blurry to make them go back into the background. Do you know what I mean? _____________________________________________________________ I agree with her Arlynnhr c...

Interesting! Having been involved with glass art, this looks like stained glass pieces. I like it, but if you want to sell abstracts on a consistent basis you need to have credentials or do some more realistic work to show that you have the ability and are painting abstractly because it is truly &qu...

Hey Krysta, Beautiful birds! Awesome colors! Something was bothering me though. It took a moment, the shading- light play, on the limbs is very random, as if there are several light sources, but the birds appear to be lit from one direction----according to the shadows. I'm a better critic than I am ...

I love your colors and the details in the seaweed (Marshgrass?) . I don't agree with the lack of detail in the fish. You have created this mystical space for the fish, but the fish is basically monochrome. More detail and more of these wonderful colors in the fish would ing it all together. The fish...

Absolutely beautiful work! I think the horse needs to be a color further from that of the background. The reflections and wind blown hair - just wonderful. Well done! Kenton

This is awesome! I have to say the white circle is very distracting to me. After looking for a moment, I saw how the white fits in. It is beautiful.

Thank you for your encouragement and your criticism. I composed her on the right because I thought it gave the image a no where to go feeling. I also liked the idea of busting out of the thirds and golden Ratio rules. Thanks ---Kenton

Frustration

Be honest. I painted this last night. I thought I was through, but I see now that I still have some cleaning up today on edges and what not. I was thinking about putting in a partial wall painting in the upper left. Although, I do like the sparse and lonely setting to go along with her posture. Be u...

Very expressive. My eye started at the top mid and worked down--unusual, but comfortable. I like your images a lot, but think that a little, itsy bitsy bit of rich color in some of the shadow details would really make it jump off of the canvas. Very Nice. Kenton

Nice forms. I agree with Baream there is way to much contrast. The still life is laid out in a very classical manner, which dictates a lower contrast execution. I would darken the medium background value. This would ing your shadows in with less contrast on your background. I would change the color ...

Thank you for your encouraging words. This little painting is one of my favorites. Done quickly, for me(I'm slow). It seems that when you are inspired by something, everything moves so easily.

I would not change it. My eye moved around easily, not jumping from one thing to another. Too much contrast or additional color and I think you lose the soothing feel of it, like the tides rolling in and out. Gentle but powerful. I usually loathe abstracts. I like this.
