Yes, this is why I posted this. It seems to be a growing phenomenon and people need to start talking about it. Humans are building them out of their habitat and people need to learn how to exist around them without holing ourselves in our homes. I don't think kids can wander around in the woods like...

Black Bears

I live in black bear country. I have seen a couple since moving here but not on my property. In one instance I got to draw one and her cubs in a tree as bystanders alongside a road watched. I had a small pad and just drew away. In the last few days, on Yahoo news a small article was posted about a b...

Hi Erika! This piece is so elegant and captures the beauty of being loving. "The Strength of Love" is what I would call it. Diana

I am with you on this, beakerless? I live in a rural area and have a very small social life. Gas is so expensive for me that I don't go out very often. So, while not making art and working I want to make friends here. Keep posting.

I've been blogging on http://diana_potts_art.livejournal.com for a few years now. I prefer it to a website because it is simpler to manage. Right now my blog is more verbal, but when I am in promotional mode, I out my written posts on friends only or private so people can look more easily. On bloggs...

Erica is right. If the survival base in your life is stable right now and you want to try, just make some smaller pieces of high quality work ad keep at it. If you post only a few pieces at a time and not a whole lot, the eBay fees aren't that expensive I have found. They have changed it so that mos...

Yes using maobi is very difficult. One has to practise every day. I haven't done it in a long time. I will get to China after the Olympics. Right now because of the Olympics it is very expensive. It would be good to meet you. Thank you.

Hi! Welcome menolly! I began selling on ebay in the early 2000's. I would suggest putting up a few pieces that aren't very expensive. I have used their basic format for their auctions and I make sales. If you do this consistently over time, people will see that and you can build a customer base that...

Welcome Lei Liang. We both became members on the same day. I am so happy that this is an international website. I used to live in Princeton, NJ where I had many Chinese friends and so learned some of the language and the writing and culture. You took art history at Yale? Then you have so much to giv...

I like this one very much. It has a playful way about it. The contrast between the warms and the white makes it lively and fun!

Art On EBay

Has or does anyone here sell art on eBay? A few years ago artists were complaining, and yet lately when I go there to
owse art, a lot of art seems to be selling consistently by artists who keep at it. What are your observations and experiences?

Hen piaoliang! Wo hen xihuan! Very beautiful! I like it very much. Do I see Sung Style painting in a modern way? Instead of the space being right and left flow you make it top and bottom space. This has all the beautiful flow of the Sung style. I like how the leaf color shimmers. I looked at your we...

Hi Fellow Artists

Hi. I was searching for online art communities and this one really caught my eye because of the quality of art displayed and the opportunities available including having a forum for support. I am very impressed. I like the name too as it implies really delving into the creation process for truly ori...
