Thanks for the encouraging comments Joe and Erika.

Hmm, those pages shouldnt be empty. Looks like you're getting old information. I've contacted my heldesk and hopefully the site should be sorted soon.

Thanks again for taking the time to check it out.

Hi all I've just finished my first ever website! http://www.candragonart.com I would really apreciate any thoughts or comments you may have on how easy it is to use etc. I wanted to keep it as simple as possible and hopefully let the pictures speak for themselves. You can also leave comments in the ...

I see dancers here. But there is pain in their movements. It is organic and unusual. Not really up on this type of work, but I thought I'd give my opinion. Hope it makes sense...

This is nice. I'm drawn in by her and immediately wonder what she is thinking about. Lovely :)

The colours are strong... liking the intensity of the blue sky :) Could maybe darken the foreground more to push the background away a bit. Its very well down and a strong piece. I like it.

I like all three of these. They are very different. The first two are wonderfully detailed and precise. Must have taken a lot of work :) I like the softness of the third one.

Another lovely image :D

I like the the mist and how it splits the trees from their reflections. Makes me think of doorways to other worlds...

Thanks for the comments :D I'm actually working on a series of similar Dragons - I call them my Gargoyles! Will post them for discussion once they are finished. Just had a look at your images. They are really good :D Especially the still life Jarron Con Calas. I love the colours. Beautifully painted.

Thanks, it's one of my favourites. Wish I could get a better photo of it though. The background keeps reflecting light back into the camera and until I get a decent photoshop package, theres not much I can do about it :(

Will post more monstrous Dragons when complete :D

This is lovely :)

I like the way the sunlight bleeds into the sea - leads the eye nicely down to the white sandy beach.

His name is Christopher Tolkien, I think and I would have liked to see it. I didnt know he was artistic as well.

For Tolkienesque art, I found John Howe's work is really good. He's got a website I think. Brilliant Dragons.... wish I could do so well :(

Andy Serkis did a
illiant Gollum in the films - creepy and forlorn at the same time.

I am :D I loved both the Hobbit and Lord of the Rings. I was seriously upset when they killed Smaug at the end of the hobbit. He was my favourite character! I also read the Silmarillion which told the history of Middle Earth. It was ok... had Dragons in it but was a bit too remote for my liking.

Hope you don't mind me posting here but I thought this was an interesting question. For starters, it depend on what medium youre using. With oils/acrylics you can really go to town with your effects. For instance, if you've got an orange light shining on a black park/path I'd block in the black back...

Hmm... Music to work to? Personally I can't work without music and I'm also a bit of a music mongrel  At the moment I'm listening to Ministry of Sound's "Classic Trance Nation", before that was Gorillaz "Demon Days" and coming next might be Portishead "Dummy" or m...

Thanks Erika, I had no idea it would appear out there so soon :) And I defifnitely agree - I always thought of Dragons as "dark and dangerous". Havent had a chance to look round the gallery yet, been too busy just getting used to the site! Think I'll pop in for a look now. And thanks also ...
