Re: Metal Rat and Bear sculptures.

I really like the BEAR ... he's awesome.
for a metal effect, this works.

However, I will still say.. challenge your sculptures to that finer detail, in the future.

Re: Cloth bulldog sculpt.

yes, very cute... Like the colors you chose of the polymer... to give the essence of the patchwork fabric. Would like to propose to you - add textures. finer details etc to you sculpts. you have base forms down, but really take it to the next level. Polymer allows for multiple bakes which will allow...

Re: Feedback please

Hi Jenny ... Watercolor, correct? I agree with Singular, the shell itself looks very good... but having nothing on the background, I'm afraid, washes out the subject. Even shadows, light treatments to both the shell and the background would help bring it to life. keep going, its looking really nice!

Re: Pink Peony

Hello saphyre, First off, I am so glad to hear you found your artistic voice again... I'm sure at some level, there was a sense of something missing, for a while. I know that would be the case for me, if I had a void in creating for long periods of time. Your peony... I personally do not use pastels...

Re: Flowers

Hi first, its better to post images you are hoping to get feedback on, in individual posts - so each piece of art gets its own attention. that said - The subject matter is not bad. work on your focus and composition (Placement of the focus of your piece). Think about the image you are capturing, and...

Re: NEW PORJECT

I like the added design elements, but I think I like the dramatic contrasts that were in the first as well. if you can balance the two - could be a really solid looking piece.

Re: Eternal Beauty

She turned out lovely... probably my favorite of the 3 recent ones you have done, Carl. Colors are appealing... good form... hands and toes look like they have you some challenges, but overall, like it a lot!!

Re: Sisters in Spirit

Hi Carl... I would agree with Ray a bit, I am not opposed to a frame, but think something a little less dramatic for this one.
Like the colors and the form... looks great! Congrats on the 'already' awards!!

Re: oil painting

Um... while oil painting was not a popular artistic medium until appx 15th century, it was hardly considered founded then, as it was know to be used in as medium in home décor. However - The oldest known oil paintings date from 650 AD, found in 2008 in caves in Afghanistan's Bamiyan Valley, "us...

Re: Practice & Post - Birds

This is a drawing of a Raven, using the medieval technique of 'Silverpoint on a Robin-Egg blue tinted Ground, on hand pressed paper. While studying the techniques of the masters (Da Vinci, et al)., Silverpoint was one of the styles used verses ink and charcoal, that I wanted to learn. Silverpoint is...
