Can't wait to see it. Keep plugging and playing with the oils. The more I work with them, the less I want to go back to the acrylics, although I'm sure I will use both one day. The oils are great when you want to blend the paints for more than 30 minutes, although, being used to acrylics, I find I o...

Yeah, I know some skaters who would really dig this.....I'm going to have to show this one to my boy, he's still a bit young for the board, but I think he's heading there.

Krysta, this is a fantastic piece for a first time oil painting, oils are truly fantastic and with patience and a bit of time, they are great to use.....I think your bold colors add to the sense of motion in the piece... I think the relief is a good effect and would be interesting to see this more i...

Very nice horse, the portrait gives off a sense of importance. I like the turn of the head against the neck. Very well done.

I think this painting has some good color use, I like the contrast of reds and greens in the landscape. The water is nice, but I agree it looks like it's going up, try to loose some of the detail as you go back into the scene and let the foreground be more crisp and detailed.

Very Modern, I'm currently taking courses in representational painting and I have to say, this image looks very refreshing. Nice job.

Your images have a strong graphic feel to them. I think the addition color adds a level of expression compared to the black and white. This second one is my favorite of the two, and leads me to ask, what inspired this image?

Great handling of perspective in the street scenes. I like the textural effects the knife leaves in the paint, really nice use of impasto.

these are very nice. Your color use is bold, I like it. I think it's a good thing to play with different styles and materials personally. Keeps things fresh....nothing wrong with learning different styles, then put them all together in an image or five. Nice samples here.

Thanks for the comments all. I'm rather fond of this one too, even though I can still see all the areas I still want to touch on, but I'll probably move on to another image.

Not bad, not bad at all. I like the effect on the hair. The face seems to be well rendered as well. Good color contrast between the hair and background color. I think this is a good technique to play with.

Your pencil work is good, got some nice textures going in the elements of the drawing. The body is well proportioned, just watch the head, she seems a little long in the snout for a lioness. Otherwise, very nice. I like the pose and position she's in on the image.

Very nice Krysta. These images have a good sense of composition, try to darken some of the shadows a bit more to give a hint of drama as well. You
ighter and highlighted colors stand out great. Keep painting.

Not bad at all David. I like the painted slate, textural effect is very nice. The form of the eagle is well handled too. The white on the wing along the body is a bit strong and jumps out a little against the black feathers. Love the face of the bird, it has that strong, proud expression of the crea...

One I just did....

I used multiple references to come up with this composition. The male figure was a studio shot photo, and his pose seemed to want a sense of mourning or sadness. I designed the sculpture behind him base on several shots of the "Angel of Grief."
