masking fluid

newbie question. best method to make foam and falling water-like waterfalls- using masking fluid. ive tries brush sideways and horizontal to paper but dont work well for me.
it is too thick to spray well off a toothbrush. can it be diluted???

thank you. have never done oil or acrylics-you actually need to be able to paint to do that and im not so good at that. this may be getting a bit away from this forum but on the lavender picture. the rows have a theoretical vanishing point off in the distance. looks to me like the clouds on the bott...

thank you . these are very helpful to me. i notice the holland one has the windmill and the other buildings pretty sharp and well defined as you suggested.
how does one go about painting a sky like the one on the lavender fields, it also has perspective i guess. thanks lexie

i will try this suggestion. teach me something tho. i thought that the distance objects should always be indistinct. guess there are exceptions to everything
