Charcoal Drawings

Here are a few of my charcoal drawings. For some reason the flowing hills with a tree on top just seems to be one thing that I'm stuck on drawing. I will draw it so many different ways and pretty much have an entire series on them. I also like to some how incorporate a tree into most of my drawings.

one thing my professor said was when you are doing the face and any other part of the body is to draw the shadows. So you don't actually draw the mouth but the shadows around it. That has really helped me improve. Oh and practice, practice, practice again 5 drawing pads later you are still practicin...

I was thinking of the recording industrie about computers. When people where able to purchase good recording equipment and make there own home studios it shut a lot of smaller studios down. The would say why spend $1500 for a studio to spend 3 days with us to make a cd when we can spend $500 and get...

I've been struggling trying to get started here. I've done photography for years and I have shot weddings for a few of those years. I would really like to do nature photography and most pros at it say, "Dont quit your day job." That isn't a good sign for me, but that is waht I want to do. ...

They are all either scaned or shot digitally and then I just do what you would do in the darkroom pretty much. Except our masks are a lot more complex in ps(photoshop). The images in there range from 35mm chromes to 4x5 pinholes, as well as shots from my Canon 10D. Thanks for the complements. I borr...

Photo Portfolio Book

What do you guys think of the layout of this book. It is 8.5(height)x11(width). Here is a link to the online version, http://freezeframephoto.dyndns.org/nature_portfolio/ If you click on the little TV screen looking thing just under and to the left of the image then it will give you a larger view.

I think there is something odd with the nose and lips, they look kinda flat and 3 dimensional. Other than that it is awesome.

Oh and maybe make the background dark to
ing her forward. But don't make it to distracting.

I think a closeup of the log with the vine wrapper around it would be more interesting. Just the bark with it twisting through would be a nice art print on canvas or something like that.

Ok cool, my name is actually psed on there. It is much lower right now and I was playing around w the positioning of it. I kinda liked it there cause it covers up that little spot where I stopped the
ush and it created a little puddle of wash before I lifted it off.
