I find the use of your name over the top of the picture to be very distracting.

Other than that, it reminds me very much of the work of the artist who did the Magic Garden in Philly.

I don't know if there's more to the red bit that's being cut off by the picture but I feel like there should be more of a red influence to the picture with that. Like you have the green. Right now it just looks like a red mistake on the edge of the page. I like what you're going for here though.

Also, there is no shame in using reference pictures. People who have been at this for decades still use them. Why? Becuase the human brain is stupid and really has like no idea what things look like in real life.
