Re: "Floating Heads" series in progress

There seems to me to be a dual paradox in both artworks. Number 1 artwork has strong features with the juxtaposition of the softness of lace whereas Number 2 artwork has a china doll face carrying a load on her head. Perhaps this was your subconscious decision. However they are both good and though...

Re: "Floating Heads" series in progress

I enjoy the delicate detail of their veil and hat. It depends on how you want to do #1. Her skin tones are correct but look a little flat. I'd also like to embolden some aspects of her veil, just a touch more hue, here and there. #2 has a children's book 'look' as it is. If you are fine with that, ...

"Floating Heads" series in progress

Hey Everyone! I've been continuing on a series I started this last year. (If you want to see the other paintings from this series just check out my gallery). These two pieces still need a lot of work, but I thought I'd get some feedback. I'm open to constructive criticism and of course positive feed...

Re: Person with abstract fur hood

Thanks! I've been thinking about making this into a series. Just trying to figure out exactly which way to go with it, and how to execute it. Ideas are definitely flowing though!

Re: Bubbly Girl

Thanks for the wonderful encouragement! I agree, there needs to be some sort of transition to the white. I'm pondering adding another wash over top, or adding more circles to blend it in. I'm sure the solution will come to me in time. Thanks again for the comments guys!

Re: drawing of my sisters daughter

You've got a lot of great detail in here. I wouldn't make a highlight on the bottom lip, as there isn't one in the original image. That's one trick to lips is that there is usually one lip that is darker than the other, unless there are multiple light sources, or a single light pointed directly onto...

Re: Too Odd?

I like where this is going! I agree with the alteration the negative space. However, I do like the use of splatter, maybe transfer that over to the smokey grey areas? Great work though, I love the surrealistic feel!
