wacom has a new one that is basically a monitor that you can lay flat on your table, and you draw directly on the screen. That one runs about 500 dollars, but it looks really cool.

I've recently bought a wacom bamboo tablet. I've been toying around with some stuff in photo shop. Here is a quick one I did of a space ship. I have to say that drawing on a tablet takes some getting use to.

I've heard of people using binaural beats before. Another way to get your brain into a state of Theta waves is by spending time in a float tank, AKA sensory deprivation tank.

There is one for rent in my area, but I haven't gotten around to trying it out yet.
