Applying Hanging wire to frames.

I have to have some of my pieces into the local fair in a few days and they have criteria for the way the pictures are mounted. Either on foam board or in picture frames. I did foam board last year but the pictures are hung in a barn and they didn't hold up well during the cold/huimid nights. This y...

Re: Finding the right medium

Alright Aristotle, calm down. Not everyone wants to discuss art on the deepest of philosophical levels at all times, bringing it back a bit can make for better casual conversation. I did not come here seeking a master, there is no master. You, nor anyone, will ever be the best at what they do. Arrog...

Re: Finding the right medium

Of course some people use everything and anything, i didn't mean to exclude that either, just for me, I prefer to stick to something that lets me create what i feel or something like that. I dunno, i'm a weirdo i suppose. On a side note though, I have done quite a few carvings from drift wood, and l...

Finding the right medium

However, I have always loved to draw and paint at random even if none of it was fridge worth XP. In the past few years though I started ...

Re: Rough pieces- Flowers

Thanks! Number 2 is something of a two second catch up in the sense that you see the center of the picture before the red petals kinda draw your attention out. As for scratch marks, not sure what i was actually going for there. I did however do non-flower piece today that i kinda of like. http://i10...

Rough pieces- Flowers

Yes yes, flowers, how original of me XP. Im just getting used to the Pastel world and thought i might ask how i'm coming along. These three pieces are just roughly done bits that i threw together in school. http://i1096.photobucket.com/albums/g324/loachlover/DSC01816.jpg http://i1096.photobucket.com...

Re: Medium advice?

I did 2 shades, which i like on the rough, i will need to actually get out a better shading pencil, did most of them free hand at school. Ill see if i cant get 1 or 2 pics posted h...

Medium advice?

Part of my reason for joining here is to get a better grasp on the different mediums and terms used in art. My school has a wonderful art program but i am majoring in Agrisciences and have no room for the class. Im a fish and exotics keeper to tell the truth :p. So, when on the betta forum im a part...
